We were vacationing in Armenia when our guide suggested we visit UWC Dilijan. The school staff told us about the UWC values, as well as the Just Dilijan It! summer camp, where middle and high school students bring these values to life and make friends from all over the world. Our son Julian attended the camp, and it made such a profound impression on him that he later enrolled at UWC Dilijan.

Hello, my name is Aram! I currently live in Dilijan, Armenia, and I am a first-year student at UWC Dilijan College. What makes JDI different from any other summer camp is that you get the chance to experience almost all aspects of life at UWC—without the academic pressure of the diploma program.
Dilijan is a beautiful town, and the campus infrastructure is truly impressive, but what really makes this place special are the people. I still keep in touch with many of them, especially the facilitators. They are some of the most genuine and wonderful people I know, and they are what make the JDI experience so unique.
One of the most important parts for me was being surrounded by UWC students and alumni. The stories they shared during those late-night conversations were incredibly inspiring and encouraged me to take the leap and apply to United World Colleges. Those moments—and the people I met at Just Dilijan It!—are the reason I am here today as a student.

The summer camp at UWC Dilijan completely won us over!
We visited for two years in a row—with my Scottish husband and our son, when he was eight and nine years old. The campus is विशाल, with an amazing pool, a delicious dining hall, and an incredible team.
While our son was in the program, we worked, and then spent time together exploring or joining trips organized by the camp: Lake Sevan with a restaurant right by the water, ancient monasteries, an Old Believers village, ziplining, wine tasting, hiking, games with our son and other interesting parents and children, musical performances, massages, and spa treatments—every trip offered something new.
It became a wonderful opportunity for our son—in such a short time, his Russian improved significantly.
Now our son dreams of returning there on his own as soon as he turns 12.
These are trips we will never forget.
